HIGH-FIDELITY BLAST LOAD MODELLING
Detailed finite element models are developed using high-resolution mesh and nonlinear material definitions. Blast pressures and durations are applied separately to walls, roofs, and exposed structural surfaces according to the project hazard assessment.
GLOBAL STRUCTURAL RESPONSE ANALYSIS
LS-DYNA® nonlinear dynamic simulations are used to evaluate overall deformation, load redistribution, plastic response, and structural stability. Both initial and optimized design configurations are assessed under extreme blast loading.
DETAILED CONNECTION ASSESSMENT
Critical welded joints and local connection regions are modelled with refined finite elements. Local stresses, plastic strains, weld performance, and parent material response are checked to prevent connection failure and loss of structural integrity.
PERFORMANCE VALIDATION AND DESIGN OPTIMIZATION
Blast performance is verified against project-specific acceptance criteria, including plastic strain limits and allowable damage levels. The results support code compliance, risk reduction, structural optimization, and long-term reliability of offshore assets.
